Rotary believes that the world can change for the better if they work together for peace in the region. The Rotary Peace Centers program builds the capacity of peace and development specialists or practitioners to be experienced and effective catalysts for peace.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. Thier fellows are committed to the community and international service and are encouraged to bring peace. Every year, The Rotary Foundation Scholarships give study opportunities to approx. 50 students for master’s degrees program and 80 for certificate degrees at well-reputed universities. It's a Fully Funded scholarship that would cover almost all the major expenses of the students including Tuition fees, accommodation, and meals, etc.

The eligibility criteria for the Master's degreevand Professional Development Certificate program is a little bit different. However, both criteria are given below.

Masters:

1. Applicants should be proficient in English
2. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree
3. Applicants should have a strong commitment to participate in cross-cultural understanding and peace as shown through academic and professional achievements and community or personal service
4. Applicants should also have the potential for leadership
5. Applicants should also have at least 3 years of full-time experience in peace or development work

Professional Development Certificate:

1. Applicants should be proficient in English
2. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree
3. Applicants should have a strong commitment to participate in cross-cultural understanding and peace as shown through academic and professional achievements and community or personal service
4. Applicants should be able to demonstrate leadership skills 
5. Applicants should also be able to explain that how their plan to promote peace aligns with the Rotary’s mission 
6. Please remember that the applicants for Makerere University: should either be from the region or currently working in the region
