There are different scholarship packages that are available for international students at the University of Fraser Valley. Students can choose any package according to their merit because scholarships would be granted purely on a merit basis. The detail of every possible package is given below for the sake of applicants.
Entrance scholarships:
Every year, the University of Fraser Valley welcomes more than about 800 new students from around 70 countries from all over the world. The main aim of the entrance scholarship is to load off the financial burden from selected students. UFV spends approximately more than $400,000 as of the scholarship reward.
UFV is offering three different amounts as entrance scholarships. The detail is given below:
- A $20,000 would be granted as International Excellence Entrance Scholarship that is renewable to the top 10 top international applicants.
- A $5,000 would be awarded as International Regional Entrance Scholarship to the top 30 international applicants.
- A $5,000 would also be given as British Columbia (BC) High School Entrance Scholarship to the top 5 of BC high school graduates.
Things to remember about Entrance scholarships:
There are some key points that you have to note down about Entrance Scholarships at UFV.
- It is a first-come, first-serve basis Scholarship. You have to apply early as much as possible. You have to apply to your interested program and fill out the complete application form correctly. Application would include
- application fee paid,
- proof of English language proficiency,
- official high school and/or post-secondary transcripts.
- Any separate application is not required to apply for this entrance scholarship at UFV. If you apply for the eligible program at the University of Fraser Valley then you would automatically be contacted if you are nominated as an eligible candidate for the scholarship award.
- The scholarships amount $5,000 would be sent to the selected student's account.
- Exchange students and Short-term visiting are not eligible for entrance scholarships.
International Excellence Entrance Scholarship:
International Excellence Entrance Scholarship would also be given by the University of Fraser Valley. About $20,000 would be given as the scholarship award by this package. This huge amount would be given over four years. The number of scholarships is 10.
Who is eligible?
The International Excellence Entrance Scholarship is applicable to those students who want to apply to study at UFV in their graduating year or have recently graduated. if applicable, applicants should have a minimum overall GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.75. Preference would be given to those applicants who have applied to an eligible degree program.
Selected students would receive $5,000 per year over four years. Students must have to maintain CGPA of 3.0 in order to continue this scholarship
International Regional Entrance Scholarship:
International Regional Entrance Scholarship is a region-based scholarship that would be awarded to those applicants who belong to a specific region given below. $5,000 is the scholarship award that would be given to the selected student under International Regional Entrance Scholarship. The number of scholarships is 30 in which 15 for Summer and 15 for Fall.

The International Excellence Entrance Scholarship is applicable to those types of students who want to apply to study at the University of Fraser Valley in their graduating year or have recently graduated. if applicable, applicants must have a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
