Amounts for a master's scholarship:

  1. International travel costs 
    One round trip Air ticket with Economy class travel
  2. Living allowance
    It is 1150 €/month for a period of 12 months
  3. Indirect mission Fees
    This is a one-time amount consist of 150 €
  4. Arrival allowance, return and tuition fees
    This is a one-time amount consist of 700 €
  5. Registration fees
    It varies
  6. Insurance fees
    Directly paid by ARES
  7. Inter universities traveling would also be provided

  1. International travel costs
    Economy class One round air ticket
  2. Living allowance
    Maximum 1400 €/month for the period of 1 to 6 months

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. To be eligible you have to be a citizen of a developing country. 
  2. Only nationals of the following countries can apply for grants from ARES: Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Morocco, Burundi, Cuba, Cambodia, Cameroon, Ecuador, Madagascar, Ethiopia (only for training courses in English), Haiti, Niger, Peru, Vietnam, Rwanda, the Philippines, DR Congo, Senegal.
  3. Applicants' age should not be more than 40 for master's programs and 45 for training courses.
  4. Apply for only one training course
  5. Applicants' physical and mental health should be good

The last date to apply for the Government of Belgium Scholarships is 15 January and 5 February 2021


How to apply for Government of Belgium Scholarships:

 All the applying process is online. Step by Step applying guidance is given below:

Step 1:

First of all, you have to make an account on an online portal named GIRAF at HERE. Your new account would be validated within a few hours to days and you will also receive a confirmation email.

Step 2:

After account validation, Open your GIRAF account, go to your GIRAF profile there you will see the Competitive calls tab, click on that and you will access the application form. 

Step 3:

Now you can complete your online application form. You would also be able to use the "Save and edit later" option. If you want to find your form then you have to click on the My Tasks option in the Competitive calls tab.

Step 4:

After click on "Submit my application", Your online form would be sent to ARES and you cannot edit your application later.


NOTE:

Application files would be wasted if they (are):

  1. incomplete;
  2. sent by post, e-mail, or fax.
  3. submitted via GIRAF after the deadline
  4. are not completed in the language in which the training course would be given;
  5. do not follow one of the admissibility criteria
