There are two types of EPFL Switzerland Scholarships benefits detail: one for the external applicants and the other is for the internal applicants. External applicants are those applicants who are international students with bachelor's degree obtained from any foreign university.

Internal applicants are those applicants who have EPFL bachelor's degree. The complete benefit detail of external applicants and internal applicants are given below:

External Applicants:

1. CHF 8’000 per semester. For the 2-year degree program, the award is CHF 32’000 and for the 1.5-year degree program the award is CHF 24’000

Internal Applicants:

1. CHF 5’000 per year
2. An excellency certificate for the results achieved during bachelor studies

Selected candidates & reserve candidates:

When the first screening test is done then the EPFL excellence fellowships committee will award the selected fellows. After selection, the selected applicants / fellows would be notified and would receive a chance with a deadline to confirm whether they are coming for EPFL Excellence scholarship or not.

If the applicant fails to reply or chooses to withdraw then the scholarships would be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list. Reserve applicants are those applicants who have a new deadline to confirm their enrolment

External applicants would receive the answer about their application by e-mail at the start of April (December deadline) and by the end of June (April deadline)

How to apply for EPFL Scholarships in Switzerland:

The process of applying for EPFL Scholarships in Switzerland is completing online. There is an online application portal given for the applicants to apply to one of the master's programs at EPFL. You have to apply through that online application portal. There is no specific scholarship application required to apply for EPFL Switzerland Scholarship.

You only have to apply at EPFL in one of the eligible master's courses. But remember to tick a box indicating that your profile should also be considered for an excellence fellowship while applying.
