  2. Already graduated from high school (secondary level) but they also have little or no previous post-secondary education

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships in the University of Saskatchewan are the most renewable, highest-valued entrance scholarships and would be awarded based on leadership, academics, and contributions to the community and school life.

George and Marsha Ivany President’s First & Best Scholarships:

The value of this scholarship is $40,000 which would be awarded as $10,000/year over four years

Chancellors’ Scholarships:

The value of this scholarship is $30,000 which would be awarded as $7,500/year over four years

U of S Entrance Scholarships :

The value of this scholarship is $24,000 which would be awarded as $6,000/year over four years

Edwards Undergraduate Scholarships:

The value of this scholarship is $24,000 which would be awarded as $6,000/year over four years

College of Agriculture and Bioresources Renewable Entrance Scholarships:

The value of this scholarship is $12,000 which would be awarded as $3,000/year over four years

How to apply for Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships:

There are different steps to apply for Brightest Entrance Scholarships. Step-by-step application guidance is given below. Follow the steps correctly and accordingly.

Step 1: Apply for admission

The last date to apply for Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships is December 1. You have to apply online HERE before the deadline. While applying you also have to pay the application fee and make sure that all of your documents like transcripts and other documents have been submitted to the Admissions Office.

Remember those students who are enrolled in a Saskatchewan high school. they must request their transcript directly from the Ministry of Education

Step 2: Check your email

In this step, you have to check your Email because your newly made login ID and a temporary password will be emailed to you within 2-3 business days. When you get the email. You should log in to the online web portal and open up the Scholarships and Bursaries channel so that you can access the Best and Brightest Scholarships application.

Step 3: Submit your scholarship application 

At this step, you will submit your application. In the Scholarships and Bursaries channel at the online web portal which is also known as PAWS, select apply for awards. Select the award period and award year. Then you have to choose the Best and Brightest Scholarships application. On the application form, there would be many questions that you need to be answered. So take your time and relax and fill out the application form calmly and correctly. After filling in all the required fields. Submit the application form.

Step 4: Check your email for an award offer

The award letter for the Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarship also known as the Circle of Honour will be sent to you via Email by January or late February. A notification would be sent only to the selected applicants.

You will have the time of two weeks for accepting the award letter. For accepting you will have to go online application portal. There select Accept, choose the award period and year, see terms and conditions and click the Accept Button.

Dean's Scholarship

The values of this scholarship for graduate students are as follows:

  1. Master's: $18,000 for up to two years
  2. Doctoral: $22,000 for up to three years

There are two deadlines for the Dean's scholarship for Round 1 and 2. Detail is given below:

  1. Round 1: December 1
  2. Round 2: February 2

Eligibility Criteria for Dean's scholarship:

  1. You have to register for this first time in a thesis or dissertation  which should be based at the U of S
  2. Your GPA should be at least 85%
  3. You also have to show evidence of previous research productivity
